Our 2026 Causes

Our 2026 Causes

The three causes for which we are raising badly needed funds are Children's Heartbeat Trust, Just ASK, and Our Lady's Hospice. Each one is doing incredible work, day in, day out. They need our support now more than ever. Here’s a brief oversight of each.

Children's Heartbeat Trust

Based in Belfast, Children’s Heartbeat Trust has been working since 1984 to provide practical, emotional, and financial support to children and young people living with heart disease and their families. They offer dedicated youth and family support services for each stage of a heart warrior’s experience.

Alongside this they undertake and support research, and campaign for the voices of children, young people, and their families to be at the heart of all congenital cardiac services.

Children’s Heartbeat Trust are invaluable through their provision of family support, youth support, research and advocacy and through the fantastic work of the CHT STARS programme.

Just ASK
Just ASK transforms the lives of young people in economically challenged communities in north inner-city Dublin. By focusing on those most in need, Just ASK is breaking the multi-generational cycles of poor education and limited opportunities. By doing so, they are changing lives and transforming communities.

The organisation is deeply integrated into its communities, changing lives through Homework Clubs, Educational Support Programmes, Outbound Activities, Summer Activities and the flagship North Dublin to North Africa initiative. Educational support, social programmes, and life skills development are core to Just ASK’s activities. With a proven track record, Just ASK provides life-changing opportunities for many of our most vulnerable youth.

Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services
Established by the Religious Sisters of Charity in 1879, the Hospice in Harold’s Cross was opened in response to the healthcare needs of the community.

Today, Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services provides specialist care for a catchment of over a million people with a wide range of needs, from residential rehabilitation to end-of- life care, from our bases in Harold’s Cross, Blackrock, and Wicklow.

As the profile and needs of patients has changed over the years, the Hospice formed three core services, which are supported by education and research, as the bedrock of quality healthcare.

Specialist palliative care is delivered in each of the three locations, making Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services the largest provider in Ireland. As well as in and out-patient services, they have community palliative care teams who have many thousands of patient interactions (including visits to patients’ homes) across South Dublin and Wicklow each year. The services are a vital support to individuals and families at their times of greatest need.
